Jackie Chan is my favourite action comedy actor. He is one of the most amazing and awe-inspiring HK actors. Jackie Chan is eager to perform death-defying stunts for his audience and fans. This includes his famous jump from one building to the balcony of another ('Rumble in the Bronx'); staying underwater for minutes without oxygen in a tank full of sharks while excuting kewl fighting moves on bad guys ('First Strike'); and of course the most fantastic leap from (the secret entrance to a collasping monastery high in) the side of a huge mountain onto a hot air balloon floating far beneath him! ('Armor of God')
Jackie Chan not only acts and performs his own stunts, but most of his movies are also directed and choreographed by himself. He has a way of integrating comedy scenes into a high action movie, and always has a realistic angle to his films. Jackie Chan does not promote violence.
If you want a hilarious, exciting, engrossing and action-packed film, look up some Jackie Chan movies.
Here's some movies which I recommend:
The Young Master
Dragon Lord
Armor of God
Project A
Project A part II
Mr Canton and Lady Rose
Dragons Forever
Drunken Master II
Twin Dragons
Rumble in the Bronx
First Strike
Who Am I
Recently, Jackie Chan has released his autobiography, I am Jackie Chan co-written by Jeff Yang. It's fascinating, a really journey from Jackie Chan's childhood to his 10 years of intensive training to his happy days of movie making. I recommend you get it as soon as possible!!!
Rush Hour was a success at the box office both in America and Australia, and undoubtedly in most of Asia. Jackie Chan appeared with Chris Tucker at Westfield Miranda on the 22nd January 1999 and had a brief interview with Richard Wilkins. The next day he attended a book signing at Angus and Robertson in the city. His biography was sold out in record time. He left after an hour, and left behind devastated fans. He soon took a plane to Canberra to visit his parents.
Jackie Chan has made a movie called 'Gorgeous', a romantic action comedy flick. It has Tony Leung among other famous cameos. It has an honourable western actor and a sweet romantic leading female star.
Here's a section about Jackie Chan's many injuries. It's amazing what he does for his fans ^_^
